Awe thank you so much!

Sponsors tend to contact bloggers because of their following and/or their content. My followers or general blog statistics are not currently public knowledge so brands, stores, companies etc have contacted me because they like my content or have seen press regarding my blog which is pretty cool.

Side note: I am definitely taking a cue from her messy tresses and going a much paler blonde for the summer.

I was so excited when I received this black shirt in the mail last week from one of my favourite online retailers, Lulus.com. I wear collared shirts several times a week and I am always on the hunt for fun ones such as this black sheer shirt with a long back hem and shoulder cut outs. It drapes perfectly down my arms to feel feminine and it truly looks good with everything. Today when I woke up it was a tad chilly so I wore it to class with a pair of high waisted beige pleated trousers and but the time I arrived home it was so hot that I swapped the trousers for my favourite pair of tattered denim shorts. It is still available here if you were interested in purchasing it.
As you all know I have a slight obsession with sunglasses. I do not care what anyone says, you can never have to many pairs and I was happy to get this pair of baroque angular frames in the mail from Romwe.com. I highly encourage you all to click here to visit their website and browse through the sunglass section because they recently updated it with a ton of super fun styles.

  • Oscar de le Renta
  • 2013 New York Bridal Week
Anyone who even reads my blog semi regularly knows very well my vast love of Oscar de la Renta. Every time I sit down to review one of his brilliant collections my review turns into a gushy entry about my school girl level crush on his garments. Well if you expected anything different this time around you are sadly mistaken because nothing makes me feel weaker in the knees than his artistically crafted gowns.

After looking through the collection the first thing that popped into my mind was the bridal tradition of ”something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” and this unmistakable pattern that could be found throughout its entirety. The gowns had features reminiscent of decades past with Oscar’s signature vintage ornate lace and crochet detailing alongside dropped waists, long sheer gloves and vintage style jewels. “Something blue” was the token pop of colour for this collection in organza, silk, tulle such as the blue satin faced organza train on the white floral guipure gown. Being a lover of the popular high slit I fell in love with the ivory silk chiffon drape gown that was accented by only the branch of fresh white flowers held by the model. Another show stopper had to be the fun little feathered shrug that was paired with the voluminous organza gown with a sweetheart neckline and sheer long gloves.

Just another eye popping collection full of stand out pieces that make me want to turn into that slightly crazed girl with a bridal scrap book at 22 years old.

This mint dress was sent to me from Lulus.com and even though it was far too short for my 6’ self to wear as a dress I still loved it. I have received a few dresses from them now and all have been long enough so if you are tall and love the dresses from Lulus then for sure order them, this was just a random case of mini dress being too mini. I fixed the problem by layering it over a skirt I bought from Costablanca probably 9 years ago now. I cannot wait to play around with this pretty piece. I think I may look for a layered light skirt to put underneath when I go out shopping for plain black flats later today. Speaking of which I hate looking for black flats. I have big feet and flats never look as cute as they would on someone with normal sized feet. I also dislike rounded toes and overly pointed ones and I like them to cut low on the toe so all of my pickiness makes it very difficult to find suitable ones. Wish me luck!

Well, now that I'm sitting here completely DROOLING over the lulus lookbook, I have to ask - have you ever ordered a dress from them?? I'm 5'11 and just looking at some of these I'm like yup that wouldn't cover my ass. But everywhere's different so I was just wondering what you're experience has been in that department.

I have very long legs so at 6’ dresses tend to be very short on me. They have sent me a few dresses now and only one has been too short. I find they actually hit me at a good length. Maxi skirts may look more like midi skirts, but other than that I think they fit normal. Just avoid ones that are already super short looking like this pretty one.

Class ended early today which is perfect because:
I was up late last night watching Game of Thrones and had to wake up at 6am
It got so warm and lovely out so who wants to be stuck in class?
When I arrived home I had a package from Lulus.com waiting for me which made coming home even better. I have always loved Lulus and it has become a daily visit every morning when I wake up to see what pretty new things they have in stock. This top was one of my favourite things I was sent and you better bet that I threw it on as fast as I could. I paired it with my current favourite skirt that seems to find its way onto my body at least once a week as of late. Anyways, if you live around the GTA I hope that you enioy the weather!
