The lovely people over at Millie Loves Min were kind enough to send me a couple of items from the new Spring/Summer 2012 collection entitled “Lovers Heart” and I must say it does not disappoint. The fabric is soft, light and tickled with the loveliest shades of powder blue, blush pink and soft taupe. Each of the pieces are seemingly simple in design but have intricate embellishments from delicate hand drawn patterns to the adorable little cut out hearts featured on many of the garments. These easy breezy designs by Australian designer Julia Softley are easy to wear and easily mixed within this summers trends.
Keep an eye out for Millie Loves Min in future style shots once the weather here in Canadaland reaches the appropriate temperature!

Finding inspiration from the 50s and 60s Jason Wu’s Pre-Fall 2012 featured shades of deep blue, warm red tones and teal greens. This season Wu broke away from his typically commercial style and delighted us with a highly detailed and meticulous pre-fall collection.
“Dressing up is the thing now,” admits Wu with a shrug. “People no longer dress for an occasion because every day is an occasion; there’s no hard line between day and evening.” (vouge.com)
Agreed! I refuse to leave the house in sweat pants and old hoodies. I prefer to always have my best foot forward.
