There are no words to explain how in love I am with LOVE. The spring/summer 2012 issue is taking some time to celebrate Mario Testino career with “30 Years of Optimism” and  featured within the collection are vibrant, cheerful, beautiful images of heavyweights like Natalia Vodianova, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Candice Swanepoel, Beyonce, Kar Lagerfeld, Gweneth Paltrow, Gisele,Robert Downey Jr.,Orlando Bloom, David Beckham and yes, even more. This is his first editorial for the magazine and I am so pleased with the images. There is something so lovely about all of the natural smiles on the faces of everyone which can be attributed to his uncanny ability to put everyone at ease.

I will post the rest of the editorial so do not fret!

Candice Swanepoel photographed by Mario Testino for the September 2011 issue of Allure.

Last year Mario Testino dubbed Candice the “Next Hot Model”. I have always adored her and I cannot wait to see where her career goes, if Mario says she is the next big thing then I certainly trust his judgement as he turned Kate Moss into a household name. Seriously though why is he not hosting America’s Next Top Model, he seems to have way better intuition that Tyra.  Oh, and yes that is IAN SOMERHALDER starring alongside her. I am not going to lie. When I saw the names Ian Somderhalder, Candice Swanepoel and Mario Testino in one sentence I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Now with all of that said time to take a 108 and throw this out there: She looks dead in the eyes and looks so stiff and boring. Ian is barely in any of the shots and he is such a pop culture draw (and insanely hot) so you would think they would have him featured a bit more then just a foot or an arm here and there and creeping in the corner of shots. Disappointing to say the least.
