Trending: Tailored Shorts For Spring
I wear shorts all year round. Anyone who knows me is aware that my winter wardrobe tends to consist of dresses, skirts and shorts with various nylons worn underneath. This due to the fact that I stand at 6’ and sadly most covetable trousers do not reach the full length of my legs. So as one would guess I am a very big fan of shorts during the summer months as well (obviously).
One thing I was very excited to see trending throughout various collections during spring 2012 fashion month were tailored, structured shorts in various pastels and jewel tones and other summery hues and in leather (not very practical but lovely), silk and cotton. I cannot wait to get my hands on some new pairs to style with structured blazers for a twist on a professional look, with oversized loose tees or structured tees with the also on trend peplum.
Some of my favourite stand outs shorties could be seen at Chloé, Prabal Gurung and the sporty Stella McCartney versions. Overall some great twists on a common wardrobe staple, just enough to make them feel more interesting than ever.
I must say I am actually a fan of Rihanna’s Stella McCartney pre-fall 2012 pajama style lace and satin set. The statement shades and strappy sandals really finish off the look well.
How is everyone feeling about the blonde hair?
The British cult comedy show “Absolutely Fabulous” base been brought back to life and recently teamed up with Stella McCartney and Kate Moss for an episode benefiting Sports Relief in the UK.
I saw Kate Moss with amazing bed head and couldn’t not post it.

After a steller showing of her evening wear collection at London Fashion Week Stella McCartney now moves onto Paris Fashion Week with her refined sporty chic ready to wear collection.
The show opened and closed with Stella’s muse, Natalia Vodianova, who donned a high collar in both looks and was echoed throughout the collection. Jacquard silk patterns, tweeds, and colour blocking came in crisp white, taupe, charcoal, black and royal blue. Dresses were short with adorable tennis like flared skirts and will most definitely become a hit over the next few months in magazine editorials. Shoulders were padded and hips were exaggerated while jackets remained strictly tailored. Random pops of magenta were found coating relaxed, pajama style trousers.
The athletic vibe that was prevalent is only to be expected as Stella is to be designing the British uniforms for the upcoming Olympics. Anyone excited to see what she has in store?

Stella McCartney fall 2011 runway at Paris Fashion Week. I think I am in love with the sexy cutness. Sweetheart neck lines, polka dots, sheer fabrics - Stella is trying very hard to win me over. :)
